Wallsend Park Bowling Club

WELCOME

 

Lawn Green Bowls was established in 1907 when Richardson Dees Park was opened to the public. There was 3 greens originally and they were eagerly populated by the miners and shipyard worker of the day. This long established sport has sadly declined over the years, but we still have a Club that plays competitively 3 days a week. We are always looking for new and experienced Players to come and join us. 

At this moment we are a very small group of players male and female who are wanting to pass on our experience to new bowlers. you will be guaranteed a warm welcome especially lady members, as at the moment we only have one Lady who has been playing for our club for 52 years and is approaching retirement.

We play on a Monday and Wednesday evenings meeting at Richardson Dees Park at 6:00pm our other games are played on a Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm

We pride ourselves in being a friendly club that offers companionship, a chance to socialise and keep up those fitness levels that we all let drop from time to time.

So if you feel you need a new beginning or even a change of club, you will all be welcome.
